Singapore… or How to Build an Occidental City on an Asian Island

Published by Jon at 8:28 pm under Uncategorized

Singapore Last week, my customer sent me in Singapore to train people on a project. After 30 hours of travel in plains and in airports, I was in a tropical climate with skyscrapers and construction everywhere. Singapore is very nice and very usual for north-american people (which is good and bad). Everything is the same; building architecture, cars, roads, shopping centers, clothing, etc. There are still some differences with Montreal; prices of houses, cars and beer is very high. Price of food is very low if you know where to go. Public transport is cheap and very efficient. Chewing gum is illegal. People work slightly more hours a day, but tax rate is much lower. The best part was the zoo and friendly people.
